How we do it

Adventures Alive creates virtual scavenger hunts, escape rooms and educational adventures using augmented reality, for communities and classrooms.

We work with community parks and recreation leaders, curriculum professionals, teachers and after school program directors to provide turn-key, custom-made educational experiences.

About Us

Who Are We?

Adventures Alive is an immersive, augmented reality and educational experience.  It comes together in a real-life treasure hunt or escape room geographically based right in your hometown. No matter what their access is during or beyond the school day, students like technology.  Specifically, they like their mobile phones.

We seamlessly blended the intuitive part of mobile phone and app technology with old-school adventure, fun and learning.  Some of the clues in ZaGR are geographically based.  That means  to solve the clue, the team has to go our and find the location hinted at in the App.  Get your kids moving again!

Critical Thinking Skills

Critical thinking is that mode of thinking — about any subject, content, or problem — in which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully analyzing, assessing, and reconstructing it.

Learning Gets Exciting

Kids learn about maps, amazing places, people and exciting cultures.  Kids will explore significant historical events, landmarks and people.  No cryptic adventure would be complete without a few puzzling mathematical riddles to solve.

The Research is Clear

What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that overlays interactive digital elements — such as text, images, video clips, sounds, 3D models and animations — into real-world environments.

Teacher librarians and technology integration specialists are often the ones to help their fellow educators integrate new technologies into classroom instruction. Many of these apps promote 21st century skills such as creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, analysis and iterative testing.

Augmented Reality for Education

Nowadays 80% of young people own smartphones. Most of them are active smartphone users that use these gadgets to access social platforms, play games and to be in connection with friends and relatives.

The potential of combining smartphones and Augmented Reality for education is big, though it still has to be fully discovered. AR, in various ways, could grant students extra digital information about any subject, and make complex information easier to understand.
